Product Description

The Whirlwind PodMIX is an outstanding passive mixer. It effortlessly combines a microphone with a stereo line - level audio source, then reduces the output to mic level for easy connection to a single - channel input of a sound system. Ideal for use in banquet halls, sports arenas, and party houses, it lets you blend your microphone with CD/MP3 players, computers, DJ mixers, etc., for paging and announcements over background music. Key features include: accepting stereo line inputs via 1/8' stereo jack or dual RCA phono jacks, reducing them to mic level and combining with the microphone into a single balanced mono output; a variable attenuator on the line input for level matching between the music source and the microphone; mute switches on both mic and line inputs for convenient signal control; compatibility with both dynamic and condenser microphones and passing phantom power from output to mic input; a ground lift switch on the line input to reduce hum and buzz; and it can also serve as a high - quality DI box.

Using the Whirlwind PodMIX is easy. First, connect your stereo audio source, like a CD or MP3 player, to the line input using either the 1/8' stereo jack or dual RCA phono jacks. Then, connect your microphone to the mic input. Adjust the variable attenuator on the line input to match the levels of the music source and the microphone. You can use the mute switches on both the mic and line inputs to turn the signals on or off as needed. This mixer works with both dynamic and condenser microphones. Just note that if you're using a condenser microphone, it will pass phantom power from the output to the mic input. If you notice any hum or buzz, try using the ground lift switch on the line input. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. Regularly check the connections to make sure they're secure.
