Product Description

The Lowell LT2 - 830 - TM16 - Vb is a top - notch quick - install professional speaker designed for suspended tile ceilings. It features a premium 8 - inch 20 - watt coaxial driver, a 70V transformer, a fine - perforation grille, and an 0.8 cubic feet volume backbox in a 2x2 assembly. This speaker can quickly replace a non - tegular (2x2) ceiling tile. The assembly includes a high - quality driver (CT830A) with an 8 - inch 20 - watt coaxial design and a 12 - ounce magnet. It has a frequency response of 57Hz - 14kHz (±6dB) and 44Hz - 20kHz (±7.6dB), and an average sensitivity of 97.0dB measured at 1W/1M. The 70V transformer has primary taps at 4, 8, and 16W. The steel backbox, with a volume of 0.8 cubic feet, is lined with 1.5 - inch thick acoustic material. The driver leads exit through a metal clamp, and the backbox is offset to avoid plenum obstructions. The 2x2 fine - perforation grille in white provides maximum free - air space for excellent sound transmission and has an unobtrusive look in new or existing tile ceilings. Mounting is made easier with restraint tabs. This speaker system directly replaces a 2'x2' ceiling tile. It comes with a factory - mounted driver on a sub - plate and a fine - perforation steel grille finished in white powder epoxy.

Using the Lowell LT2 - 830 - TM16 - Vb speaker is quite simple. First, remove the 2x2 non - tegular ceiling tile where you want to install the speaker. Then, place the speaker assembly in the opening. The restraint tabs will help you secure it in place. Connect the driver leads to your audio system, following the instructions for the 70V transformer taps (4, 8, or 16W). When it comes to maintenance, keep the grille clean. You can gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they might damage the grille's finish. Check the backbox regularly for any signs of damage or loose connections. If you notice any issues with the sound quality, such as distortion or low volume, check the connections and the audio source. Also, make sure the speaker is not overloaded by using a power source that exceeds its 20 - watt rating.
