There are two oblong cutouts (2.5 in. x 1.25 in.) for cable drop-down and a large center cutout in the rear for placing over existing wall fixtures. Side openings in the rear are spaced for single gang, stud-mounted conduit boxes. Cable lacing points and pre-punched mounting holes are provided between center and side openings in the rear. Using this Lowell wall shelf is easy. First, decide on the mounting direction and install it on the wall using the keyhole mounting slots on the 16 in. stud centers. You can choose to have the platform on top or bottom according to your needs. When running cables, use the two oblong cutouts for drop - down and the large center cutout if there are existing wall fixtures. For conduit boxes, the side openings in the rear are well - spaced.
