Product Description

The Sonifex HY03SUS is a top - notch single automatic analogue TBU that comes in a 19' (48.3cm) rack - mount unit. It replaces the long - standing HY - 02, which was known for its excellent value and high quality. This TBU offers a host of great features. It's fully automatic, adapting to different line conditions and limiting signals automatically. You can switch local and remote line holds, and calls can be remotely routed through a mixing console. Momentary or permanent latching remotes can be enabled. With a balanced mic/line input, you can select a 10k ohm balanced input for a 0dBu clean feed line or microphone level with adjustable gain. The balanced output has a 0dBu low impedance and adjustable output gain. The mixed output allows you to record both sides of a phone conversation by combining the caller and mic/line input signals. It also has an integrated ring detector for automatic call answering after a set number of rings. Standard K - break disconnect detection is included, and there's an option for dial - tone disconnect with the optional HY - 03DTD board, which can be configured for specific country dial tones. A line limiter, bandpass filter, and output noise gate with a preset threshold ensure low - distortion, crystal - clear audio.

Using the Sonifex HY03SUS is straightforward. First, connect your mic or line input to the XLR 3 - pin female socket and select the input type with the push - button. Then, connect the line output to your desired device using the XLR 3 - pin male socket. For the telephone line and handset, use the RJ11 6/4 sockets. Connect the remotes to the 9 - way D - type socket and the power using the IEC mains (CEE22). When it comes to power, you can choose between 230V 50Hz or 115V 60Hz. Remember, this unit consumes 6W. As for setting up, you can adjust the input and output levels using the preset pots according to your needs. When the phone rings, the integrated ring detector will automatically answer after the pre - set number of rings. Make sure to keep the unit in a clean and dry environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. Regularly check the connections to ensure they are secure. If you're using the optional HY - 03DTD board, configure it according to the dial tone of your country to enable proper disconnect functionality.
