Product Description

The Lowell LT-8A-T870-Vb is a top - notch professional speaker designed for quick installation in suspended tile ceilings. It features a high - quality 8 - inch, 50W coaxial driver with 20 oz. LF and 2 oz. HF ceramic magnets. This driver offers a wide frequency response from 40Hz - 19.4kHz (-6dB) and 40Hz - 20kHz (-7.3dB), along with an average sensitivity of 90.6dB (1W/1M), ensuring excellent power handling and smooth sound reproduction. The 70V transformer has primary taps at 1.1, 2, 4, and 8W. The fine - perforation grille in white provides maximum free - air space for great sound transmission and an unobtrusive look in new or existing tile ceilings. The 0.8 cu.ft. steel backbox comes with 1.5 - inch thick acoustic lining, a removable dual - knockout wiring compartment cover plate, and driver leads that exit through a metal clamp. It also has a patented integral T - bar to support neighboring non - tegular ceiling tiles and a restraint tab and hole for two - cable code compliance. This 1'x2' system can replace half of a non - tegular 2'x2' ceiling tile or one - fourth of a non - tegular 2'x4' ceiling tile.

Using the Lowell LT - 8A - T870 - Vb speaker is easy. First, remove the appropriate section of the non - tegular ceiling tile. Then, use the patented integral T - bar to support the neighboring tiles. Install the speaker in the space, making sure to connect the wiring through the metal clamp and the removable dual - knockout wiring compartment cover plate. You can adjust the power using the 70V transformer's primary taps at 1.1, 2, 4, and 8W according to your needs. When it comes to maintenance, keep the grille clean to ensure good sound transmission. Avoid getting the speaker wet. Check the wiring periodically for any signs of damage. If you need to replace the driver or other components, refer to the product manual. With proper use and care, this speaker will provide you with great sound for a long time.
