Product Description

The DBX ZC-FIRE Zone Controller, integrated with a fire safety system, extends the functionality of the DriveRack and ZonePRO families. These nine zone controllers use analog DC voltage for logic control, covering zone source selection, volume adjustment, muting, program or scene selection, and fire - safety muting. Wired with affordable CAT5 cable and RJ - 45 connectors up to 1000 ft, they offer simple yet effective solutions for contractors. The ZC - FIRE serves as a dedicated fire safety interface for ZonePRO products. It can trigger system mute or scene selection when activated by a relay or control voltage from the fire safety system. A ZC - 4 can also interface with an alarm system, and its Fire Alarm Integration Guide is available in the Manuals/Documentation section of the ZC - 4 product page. Key features include output muting or programmable scene selection for dbx ZonePRO devices, connection to the fire safety system via relay or control voltage output, DIP switches for identification, and it's a dbx ZC - FIRE remote controller. Technical specs cover connectors (2 RJ - 45), series and parallel wiring lengths, and safety agency certifications like UL 60065, IEC 60065, EN 55013, E60065. All details are subject to change without notice. Recommended for installations.

Using the DBX ZC - FIRE Zone Controller is straightforward. First, connect it to your DriveRack or ZonePRO device using the CAT5 cable with RJ - 45 connectors. Make sure to set the DIP switches correctly for identification. For the fire safety connection, you can choose to connect through a relay or directly to the control voltage output. When the fire safety system triggers, it will either mute the system or select a pre - programmed scene. Note that all the information about this product may change without notice. When wiring in series, remember that the maximum cable length depends on the number of zone controllers. For parallel wiring, use CAT5 or CAT5E cable with the specified nominal DCR. To maintain your device, keep it in a clean and dry environment. Check the connections regularly to ensure they are secure. If you are using a ZC - 4 for alarm system integration, refer to the Fire Alarm Integration Guide in the product's Manuals/Documentation section.
