The TOA Electronics RS - 140 is an outstanding IP intercom switch panel designed specifically for use with the N - 8000RS or N - 8010RS 2 - Core Shielded Substation Interface Unit. It comes equipped with a Call button and a Privacy button, and can be easily installed in a 1 - gang electrical box. Connect a high - impedance speaker to it, and you can have hands - free conversations with the master station through its speaker. It can also be used in conjunction with the RS - 141 Ip Intercom Option Handset. The Call button is momentary, while the Privacy button is latching. The status indicators are clearly visible: the red status indicator flashes when called, stays lit during conversation, and the red privacy indicator lights up when in privacy mode. It uses a two - core shielded cable for wiring, with different transmission ranges depending on cable thickness: 0.5 km (546 yd) for φ0.5 mm (AWG24), 0.8 km (874 yd) for φ0.65 mm (AWG22), and 1.3 km (1421 yd) for φ0.9 mm (AWG19). The plate is made of stainless steel with a hairline finish, the Call button is red resin, and the Privacy button is white resin.
