Product Description

The Pro Intercom AD903 is an outstanding two - to - four wire active transceiver adapter. It's a multi - functional device that can bring different levels of audio into an intercom circuit or send intercom audio 'traffic' to an amplifier or recorder. As a 2 - to - 4 wire adaptor, it enables seamless connection of 4 - wire communications to and from a standard intercom circuit. The 'Null' control helps minimize or completely get rid of 'cross - talk' between input and output. Its studio - grade input transformer ensures high - quality audio without degradation. This adapter is also widely used for connecting to a video camera CCU with an incompatible built - in intercom. Key features include power supply from the intercom system, no need for batteries or separate power. It connects to the intercom circuit like a beltpack via a rear - panel 3 - pin XLR. Input and output are accessible through a rear - panel 4 - pin XLR, with pins 1 and 2 for input and pins 3 and 4 for output. Both input and output are transformer - isolated, and the wide - range level adjustments can handle almost any audio signal. Technical specifications: Power requirement is 24 - 30 VDC, 15 - 25 mA. Input ranges from - 60 to +30 dBm into 10K Ohm nominal, balanced and floating. Output ranges from - 60 to +30 dBm from 200 Ohm nominal source, balanced and floating. Sidetone rejection is 50 dBA. Audio bridging impedance to the intercom system is 200 Ohm unbalanced. It measures 3.70 x 4.30 x 2.50 in. (93.98 x 109.22 x 63.5 mm) and weighs 14.5 oz (0.411 Kg).

Using the Pro Intercom AD903 is quite straightforward. First, connect it to the intercom circuit through the rear - panel 3 - pin XLR, just like you would with a beltpack. Then, connect your audio input and output devices to the rear - panel 4 - pin XLR, making sure to use pins 1 and 2 for input and pins 3 and 4 for output. When it comes to power, you don't need to worry about batteries or a separate power supply as it gets power from the intercom system. Regarding the 'Null' control, if you notice any 'cross - talk' between the input and output, you can adjust this control to minimize or eliminate it. As for maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. Also, make sure the connections are tight and free from dust or debris. If you're using it with a video camera CCU, ensure that the built - in intercom of the CCU is not compatible with Pro Intercom or other 200 Ohm unbalanced intercom systems as this is where the AD903 really shines.
